Since I put up some photos of Maximus, I thought I'd sneak one up of Sebastian too. This is pretty much what he looks like every Sunday. Sometimes he wears the hat, sometime we can hide it and get him not to wear it. It's weird too because normally he HATES wearing hats, but for some reason he's obsessed with his wedding hat and wants to wear it whenever he dresses up on Sunday. We love our little naughty toddler!

My baby is growing up!

I've been trying to put up some photos of my boys since Maximus was born but unfortunately we don't really get internet access so I can never get the photos to upload. I thought since we're hanging out at David's family's house for the evening that I would sneak on their internet and show you just how cute my baby has gotten. David got hired to do baby photos for this company called Knitty Bitty Baby for all their knitted newborns and baby outfits. Luckily, I have the cutest baby ever so they wanted Max to be a model for some of the outfits and we are just in love with our new little man. Maximus is serioulsy the sweetest and happiest baby alive. He came out happy and has just become more and more fun. He giggles nonstop just by looking at him and brings us so much joy. I'm just glad that he seems to be a much easier baby and have a calmer personality that his crazy brother, who is going to turn 2 next month!! Where did the time go. With out further ado, he is Max in all this glory. I dare you to say you have a cuter baby than him...

Every superhero needs a cape! David's mom made David and his brother capes to try out for the show Wipeout (still waiting to hear if they got picked) and Sebastian got all jealous that daddy had one and he didn't. So Grammie came through for him too and now he has his own cape and wears it EVERYWHERE. Yes, I'm THAT mom with THAT kid. Ugh. I don't understand how an 18 monther already knows he wants to wear a cape. It's a little embarrassing at church though when he's the only kid wearing a cape with a suit on. Awesome. Oh boys will be boys. Love that face!

Less than 100...
...days until Baby boy 2 comes! This pregnancy definitely has gone by faster than with Sebastian. I'm too busy this time to keep track of exactly how far along I am or what size of fruit the baby is. That's a good thing too because last time I drove myself insane waiting. The only thing I'm looking forward to now is counting down the days until I get this fat suit off. I swear I'm WAYYYYY bigger this time. Maybe it's my imagination but I just feel gigantic and so overly round. My hips hurt so bad from the extra weight. I just want my body back. Anyhow, 99 days left and I am SOOOO excited. Now to convince my difficult husband to let me chose the name this time. Afterall, I'm the one doing all the work!! Am I right?!

My sister's curse/blessing
David and I were finally able to find out what we're having on Saturday. Everyone but Autumn guessed it was a girl, but I just KNEW it was another boy. I'm actually happy because I think Sebastian will love a brother more than a sister, but I just hope that our last and final attempt produces curls and frilly bows. For now, we're just happy the baby is healthy and I'm over half done. I'm also glad that I already have all the boy baby stuff so I won't worry about spending lots of money on pretty things that we can't afford. Bring on the brown and blue again! :) Now onto baby boy names. That's gonna be tricky. Sebastian was already a stretch to come up with :)

Merry Christmas...a little early!
SO, I guess it's time to let the cat out of the bag. David and I are expecting another baby on or around Christmas day!! I know, I know awesome planning but sometimes these things can't be planned. :) I just hope the little guy (or girl) doesn't blame me forever for being ripped off at his birthdays. We're super excited and anxiously waiting to find out what the wee one is. We had an ultrasound yesterday to find out the sex but the baby was too modest and didn't want us peeking. That's okay, we can wait another month I guess. I'm just happy that he/she is happy. It was too cute because the baby was pointing and hiccupping when we were watching and we got some great pictures. I'm so excited and ready to not be sick anymore. Hurry up Christmas, I'm dying in this heat!

This and That
It seems like a lot of things have happened lately but I just can't seem to keep this thing updated. I wish I did more because I go crazy when other people don't update their's (cough cough Melissa and Sara). I guess the most EXCITING thing that has happened lately is Sebastian full on walking. He hates to crawl now and will only do it to get to the closest object that will allow him to prop himself back up. It is just too cute to see and he is really proud of himself. He tries to run and trips and falls but other than that is a really steady little fella! He seems to get cuter and cuter every day and learn something new daily. He's also been babbling "ma ma" lately so that's making me pretty pleased. I'm hoping he willingly acknowledges me someday for getting up with him all night from day one. :) He loves any kind of water and we recently bought him a kiddy pool that he LOVES. He doesn't even care that the water is ice-cold, he just jumps in and laughs while he splashes along. He's just at such a cute age. I can't believe he'll be ONE on Sunday. The year has gone by so quickly and so slowly at the same time. We just love our little man.

Happy 9 months!!

I can NOT believe my baby is already 9 months old! I remember thinking when he was like 2or 3 months that he would never get that old...or at least that I would never survive the sleeplessness that long. And why I'm still not getting adequate sleep, I'm so happy and in love with my little man. He makes everything better and life so much happier. I love going to get him from his crib in the mornings and seeing his adorable face while he jumps up and down and laughs. His laugh is so dorky and sweet. He now have 5 teeth (OUCH!) and can do lots of fun tricks like give you high 5! Love this face...

Okay, so if you love canned baby food this post is NOT for you! I know I'm ranting here but I think that Gerber's and ALL baby food for that matter is the BIGGEST rip off known to man. Each jar of food costs $1.03 (Target) which is INSANE considering how much food babies/toddlers eat. I refuse to pay it and happily make all my own food. And before you think that I'm "one of those moms" don't be fooled. I love convenience in every other way. Cloth diapers? Kill me!! But, I can buy a bag of mixed veggies for like a $1.29 and do you know how much baby food that makes? Approximately 5-6 jars!! One sweet potato or yam? Yeah, that makes 3 jars of baby food. One $49 cent jar of green beans makes 2.5 jars of food. You get the drift. So now you understand why I would NEVER EVER buy that stuff. I think one has to be really rich or really lazy not to be able to open a can of vegetables and mix it in a blender for 30 seconds to save about $3.00. I always thought I'd buy Gerber and all that baby stuff, but I'm quickly realizing how much money you can waste if you're not careful. Besides, making your own food is SO MUCH HEALTHIER for the babies. Food shouldn't have that long of a shelf-life! Join me in banning Gerber's from your cuppard. Sorry again for the lame post, but who else has realized how stupidly expensive that stuff is?

The Crawling/Standing Machine
Sebastian is really starting to freak me out. Last week, I went to get him from his crib in the morning and he was standing up, holding on the rails and jumping up and down. It creeped me out. I didn't even get him out, I just ran to find David before he fell. The crib got dropped 5 minutes later. Now he does it EVERY single nap, bedtime, etc. It's insane. Where did the tiny, helpless baby I brought home for the hosptial go? He's crawling like a mad man and loves to shove as many cords into his mouth as possible before I can catch him. Over the weekend he learned how to crawl up 2 stairs. Yeah, I about had a a heart attack. Good thing I was behind him because he'll just decide he's tired and let go. He refuses to play on the ground now like a good boy and has decided his only mission in life is to pull himself up onto anything possible. He pulls himself on the the chairs, couches, my legs, coffee table, cabinets to pull out all the plastic tubbies. It's so fun and cute to see. The best is when he starts crying and I'll be in the kitchen making dinner or something so he's cry all the way into where i'm at really fast and then pull himself up using my pants until I'll pick him up. It's hard being upset with such a cute little boy. I sure love him. He has become SO fun and loves to laugh all the time. I shouldn't admit this but he says "da da" ALL THE TIME to David and then when I say "no, say mama he just laughs and says "da da." NOT COOL! What a freakin crock. I get up with him all night, feed him, play with him, change 95% of his diapers, etc. and he STILL says "da da" first. Blah. That's okay now that David's back at school all day long I'll have more time to get him back on track! haha
Did I mention that he only likes his jumparoo from the outside now because he can pull himself up and play with the toys from the outside? I think that he think that the inside of the jumparoo is for babies!

Apple Pickin'
Neil and Monica (David's cousin and his wife) invited us to go up to apple country to get some yummy lunch at Apple Annie's and to get apple cider donuts. I planned to pick a bunch of apples to make homemade apple pie but apparently it's expensive to pick and buy apples yourself instead of just going to do store. Who would have thunk?! Being the cheapskate that I am, I opted out of picking them (plus it was COLD!!) and just went for the delicious donuts. They were crazy good. I never knew you could make so many things out of apple. It was a great fall activity and I plan on going back to actually pick some raspberries when it's the right season. And we saw real snow so there! In other news, it's been in the 80s all week and I could not be more thrilled about it! :)

I miss my mom A LOT. I'm used to spending every Thanksgiving with my family, going shopping with my mom and sister(s) and playing board games together. I'm used to seeing my mom every couple months when she'd drive down to Utah to see me and my sister. I'm very happy in California but I'm just missing my mom so much. I think the holiday season makes it worse but I wish I could live next door to my parents forever. And I wish Sebastian could grow up by his cousins. I sure love my mom!

Happy Gobble Gobble
I hope you all had a GREAT Thanksgiving and got nice and fat. We had our big turkeyfest last night instead of on actual Thanksgiving. We went to Knott's Berry Farm and enjoyed funnel cake on Turkey day instead. Trust me, funnel cake does NOT taste like turkey and gravy!! I have to admit I was a little sad to miss the turkey and all the trimmings on the actual day but it was still fun. This was the first year we didn't spend it with my side of the family too so I was pretty bummed, but I had a great day anyhow. I'm most excited for the fact that Sebastian got to sit on Santa's lap and get some AWESOME pictures at Knott's. He's just getting so cute and HUGE. I can't believe my little baby is already over 6 months old. That can't be right can it??
We also braved the Black Friday lines and ended up waiting at Target at 10pm to get some shopping done. I went for the entertainment value but was gravely disappointed at how calm it was. I wanted at least one person to fight for an item or hit someone with their cart. I left completely disappointed, but did up with a few cheap DVDs. Yes, I waited 2 hours for DVDs. The next day, I saw on the news the lady using pepper spray at Walmart to get to the items she wanted and was SOOOO mad that we didnt got to Walley World instead. I know where I'm headed next year for my entertainment. We're putting the old Christmas tree up tonight and I couldn't be more excited. Bring on the happiest time of the year! I hope Christ stays in your heart all year long.
P.S. Just so everyone is aware, Christmas trees are meant to be hunted for not pulled out of a box, fake, and set up pre-lit. I need to get my own place because this is COMPLETELY unacceptable. Where is the wonderful smell of pine and peppermint? I miss home.

Gettin' our Getty on
David had to go to a museum for one of his nerdy Art History classes, so Sebastian and I tagged along when he went to the Getty in LA. I'm usually not musH for art museums but I surprisingly had an AWESOME time. The museum was huge and it was just fun to get out of the house and see some crazy expensive works of art. David, of course, was nerdying it up with all his Art history talk and knowing EVERYTHING about every piece (practically). If you're ever in LA, you should check it out. It will not disappoint.

Disneyland!!
David and I took the Chinese girls to Disneyland on Friday. It was the bomb-diggity once again. We hadn't been in 3 years so it was fun to take in the Disney spirit again. I always forget how magical it is there. It was raining pretty hard on us but it was the best because that meant the lines were so short. We only had to wait 10 minutes for Space Mountain AND Indiana Jones--unheard of! Luckily, it stopped raining after lunch and we got to enjoy the rest of the day without herds and herds of people. I tell you what though, I've gotten so soft living here. It was like 55-60 degrees and I have FREEZING to death. I don't know how I dealt with snow all those years. I miss summer so badly. Winter is so overrated.

Happy Halloween
Happy Haunting for the few bloggers still reading my boring blog. We had a GREAT halloween and went to a really fun party on Saturday night. It's always a blast getting into the spirit of things and dressing up. The last two years our costumes have been the bomb-diggity, if I don't say so myself. This year was not quite up to my usual standards but I did sew them myself (for the most part) so I still feel as cool. It's always interesting when people ask me what I do for a living now and I say that I sew competitive swimsuits. But I LOVE it and is has greatly improved my other sewing skills. For my costume, I had to sew my first shirt and now I shall be attempting some other projects that I've had in mind the last couple years but was too scared to try. Let me just say, the only reason I'm sewing at all is because I have the RIGHT equipment. You may think you're cool and all because you have a domestic sewing machine like a chump. I used to think that too because I have, what I like to call, a "civilian" machine and a serger as well. However, now I have access to the real deal--6 commercial machines that kick your domestic machine's butts. The difference between the machines is unreal. It's like the difference between Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and the Walmart nasty cheese brand. YOU CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE. Anyhow, that's enough nerdy sewing talk. Here are some pics because that's all you want anyways.
